Job Description

Wise is a global technology company building the best way to move and manage the world’s money. Whether people and businesses are sending money to another country, spending abroad, or making and receiving international payments, Wise is on a mission to make their lives easier and save them money.

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Executive Assistant to partner closely with our CTO, supporting their leadership across Wise’s Global Engineering & Technology organisation and North America.

This is a high-impact role at the centre of a fast-moving, global organisation. You’ll combine exceptional executive support with strong judgement, stakeholder management and operational ownership to help the CTO focus their time and attention on the things that matter most.

This role is based in person in the Austin office. The CTO works across North America, Europe and Asia, so flexibility is important. Early-morning availability may sometimes be needed for global meetings, alongside periodic domestic and international travel.

Wise is committed to building diverse, equitable and inclusive teams where every employee feels respected, empowered to contribute and able to progress in their career.

Requirements

  • Significant experience supporting a senior executive in a complex, fast-paced and ideally global organisation.
  • Experience managing highly complex calendars and competing priorities across multiple time zones.
  • Excellent judgement, with the ability to prioritise, push back and make decisions without always needing direction.
  • A proactive approach, anticipating what an executive and leadership team will need before being asked.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Clear and concise communication, with a calm and solutions-focused approach when plans change.
  • Experience managing complex international travel and delivering leadership offsites or events end to end.
  • Comfort using technology, AI and automation to make executive workflows more effective.
  • Ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy and contribute beyond immediate responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Own the CTO’s complex global calendar, balancing priorities across North America, Europe and Asia and making thoughtful decisions about where their time is best spent.
  • Act as a trusted strategic partner by anticipating needs, protecting focus time, preparing for key meetings and decisions, and keeping important actions and follow-ups moving.
  • Build strong relationships across Wise, particularly with the Engineering Leadership Team, senior executives and their support teams.
  • Coordinate complex domestic and international travel, creating detailed itineraries and handling changes calmly when plans shift.
  • Own key leadership events and offsites, including Dev Lead offsites and supporting major Engineering events such as Tech Day.
  • Support senior recruiting and organisational priorities, including coordinating interviews, leadership sessions and other high-impact moments.
  • Improve executive office operations by identifying recurring friction and creating smarter, more scalable processes using technology, AI and automation where useful.
  • Contribute to the BOSS community by sharing best practices, raising standards and supporting other executive assistants across Wise.
