Job Description
This role is based in Austin, TX, and is remote-first. Your level of experience and knowledge of specific software programs matter less than your demonstrated ability to get things done. Whether you are a junior candidate with limited experience or a seasoned professional, what matters is results.
This Executive Assistant will play a pivotal role as the company grows and scales. In a fast-moving startup environment, we are looking for someone who can operate independently, think proactively, and do whatever it takes to get the job done.
Benefits include 100% paid health insurance, stock options in a growing startup, and a remote-first work environment.
Requirements
- Independent problem-solvers who figure things out themselves and escalate with a proposed answer.
- People with urgency who move fast, close loops the same day, and keep tasks from sitting in limbo.
- Tech-fluent operators who are comfortable with modern web and mobile tools, learn new software quickly, and are fully proficient across Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
- Organized and reliable professionals who are punctual, track their commitments, and make sure nothing falls through the cracks.
- Strong communicators who write clearly, proactively inform stakeholders, and represent the company well with vendors and partners.
- Adaptable generalists who are willing to take on a wide variety of tasks and unfamiliar responsibilities.
- Startup-tested candidates with experience in an early-stage or high-growth startup environment, where shifting priorities, lean teams, and wearing multiple hats are familiar.
Responsibilities
- Take end-to-end ownership of commitments and projects, drive them forward, close every loop, and see them through to completion.
- Handle a large and constantly shifting portfolio of activities to reduce the CEO's workload and allow leadership to focus on growth.
- Manage relationships with operational vendors and platforms, including HR providers, Paychex, Zoho, and other business partners; keep accounts current and resolve issues.
- Guide new employees through onboarding, including insurance enrollment and payroll setup.
- Coordinate leadership meetings and calls, and create and maintain agendas.
- Complete expense reports and handle company purchasing.
- Keep company social media channels updated.
- Run company errands and support events as needed.
