Job Description
3M is seeking an Executive Assistant to support the Electronics Vertical Business leadership team. This on-site role offers the opportunity to collaborate with innovative professionals and transition experience from private, public, government, or military environments into a 3M career.
The position is based at the 3M Center in Austin, Texas, with employees expected to work on-site at least four days per week. Travel may be required up to 10%, and relocation assistance may be authorized.
The expected compensation range for this position is $74,644 to $91,231 annually, including base pay and variable incentive pay if eligible. The role may also include a comprehensive range of benefits.
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED or higher, completed and verified prior to start.
- Ten (10) years of combined experience in an administrative assistant, secretarial, and/or clerical role in a private, public, government, or military environment.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience with employee data systems such as SAP, Workday, and Concur expense reporting.
- Experience supporting executive meetings and user conferences with customers and partners, including agendas, logistics, food, travel arrangements, and IT setup.
- Experience supporting an executive conference member.
- Experience handling confidential and sensitive business information and supporting executive-level professionals.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Experience using digital tools to improve personal productivity and business processes.
- Experience working with teams in different time zones and global cultures.
- Basic familiarity with AI tools and agents for work efficiency and quality.
- Ability to build connections and collaborate across functional teams while being resourceful and well informed.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support for the Electronics Business President, Vice President, and Directors.
- Coordinate domestic and international travel, manage expenses through Concur, manage calendars, review and route incoming correspondence, maintain databases and business distribution lists, and manage aspects of SharePoint sites and other internal communications platforms.
- Schedule and support on-site and off-site meetings, video conferences, and teleconferences, including meeting space and other arrangements.
- Serve as the key point person for the Electronics Business Vertical leadership team and maintain organization of important dates and deadlines.
- Process invoices in SAP for business-related expenses.
- Assist with the hiring process and new employee onboarding.
- Work on special and ongoing projects as directed.
- Serve as a resource for interpreting and applying standard department and corporate policies, procedures, guidelines, and practices.
- Suggest and implement improvements to office and department procedures and programs.
- Apply highly developed written, oral communication, and collaboration skills.
- Comply with corporate policies, procedures, and security standards while performing assigned duties.
- Support a strong Environmental Health and Safety culture by following safety policies, identifying hazards, and engaging in continuous improvement.
