Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent experience in lieu of education.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an executive assistant or paralegal.
- Strong understanding of legal terminology and procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a corporate legal department, law firm or Executive C-suite.
- Familiarity with contract management software and legal case management systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in project management.
Responsibilities
Legal Support:
- Conduct research and gather relevant information for queries such as but not limited to mergers, acquisitions, business entity composition, non-compete regulations, and contractual agreements.
- Assist in the preparation and review of legal documents, contracts, and agreements.
- Maintain and organize legal files and records.
- Ensure compliance with legal procedures and regulations.
Executive Support:
- Manage the General Counsel's and EVP, Global Laboratory Services calendar, schedule meetings, and coordinate travel arrangements.
- Draft and edit communications, including emails, memos, and reports.
- Prepare presentations and other documents for internal and external meetings.
- Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Coordinate and facilitate communication between departments.
- Assist in the planning and execution of special projects and events.
- Perform general office duties, such as filing, photocopying, and ordering supplies.
