Job Description

Crux is the capital platform for the clean economy, modernizing capital raising and deployment for clean energy and critical infrastructure through advisory, investments, technology, and intelligence.

We are seeking a true right-hand Executive Assistant to serve as a force multiplier for 2–3 senior executives. This role will own how executive time, communications, and operating cadence run day to day, acting as a gatekeeper, editor, and quiet operator behind one of Crux’s busiest desks.

The role supports calendar and inbox management, executive operations, workflow systems, travel and personal logistics, events and offsites, and light deck formatting. The position is remote-first, with preference for candidates near Washington, DC or New York City, and includes approximately 20% travel.

Crux offers a remote-first operating model, comprehensive healthcare, dental and vision coverage, paid time off, parental leave, stock options, and a base cash compensation range of $100,000–$160,000, plus a company-wide bonus tied to revenue goals.

Requirements

  • Experience supporting senior executives in finance, banking, or another regulated environment
  • Strong judgment and prioritization
  • High discretion and confidentiality
  • Ability to manage up and collaborate cross-functionally
  • Detail-oriented with strong follow-through
  • Systems-oriented, with the ability to impose structure where there is none
  • AI fluency or an appetite to develop it
  • Familiarity with HubSpot, Slack, and G Suite is a plus
  • No prior fluency in financial concepts or investor workflows is required; the right person can learn on the job

Responsibilities

  • Manage executive calendars and gatekeep meeting requests by prioritizing against business objectives, clearly titling meetings, building attendee lists, providing preparation context, and protecting focus time
  • Triage inboxes, prioritize non-securities email, draft responses on behalf of executives, and develop trusted delegation over time
  • Recognize regulatory compliance-related communications and route them directly through the appropriate executive
  • Prepare meeting materials and agendas, attend select meetings, capture follow-ups, and track action items through completion
  • Coordinate interview loops and maintain current candidate feedback
  • Maintain workflow hygiene across HubSpot, Rippling, and Ramp, including light CRM data management
  • Maintain an integrated view of business and personal travel and health appointments while aligning executive availability with the business calendar
  • Coordinate closing dinners, team offsites, conferences, and client and investor events
  • Provide light deck editing and formatting support
  • Operate proactively, make decisions within defined boundaries, escalate when needed, and push back constructively on prioritization
  • Provide real-time responsiveness across Slack, text, and email while supporting a fast-paced, externally facing executive desk
