Job Description

Compton Construction is hiring a part-time Executive Assistant to support our Founder, Blake Compton.

Blake is a high-performing, strategic leader who moves quickly and carries significant responsibility across Compton, several development partnerships, and non-profit arts organizations. This role exists to reduce administrative drag, bring structure to commitments, and ensure follow-through.

We are looking for someone experienced, steady, and highly organized—someone who knows how to manage a senior leader’s time, inbox, and commitments with discretion and clarity.

This is a 20-hour-per-week role, generally scheduled between 9:00am and 3:00pm on weekdays.

Requirements

  • Prior experience supporting a senior executive or business owner
  • Strong written communication and summarization skills
  • High follow-through and attention to detail
  • Comfort enforcing boundaries respectfully
  • Strong organizational systems mindset
  • Discretion and professionalism
  • Confidence using AI tools to improve efficiency

Responsibilities

  • Manage and triage email daily
  • Protect and design the calendar (prioritize deep work and key relationships)
  • Track commitments and eliminate overdue items
  • Prepare meeting briefs, agendas, and follow-ups
  • Organize receipts and administrative documentation
  • Package decisions and summarize complex threads
  • Coordinate scheduling across business and board commitments

You will create and maintain a simple, reliable system that keeps priorities visible and moving.
